ASPECT MACARTHUR AND CLINTONS TOYOTA TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL TREE DAY’S 20TH YEAR
Local Toyota Clintons Toyota teamed up with the staff and pupils of Aspect Macarthur Disability School to celebrate the 20th year of Planet Ark’s Schools Tree Day on Friday 24th July.
Marking this special occasion, the members of Aspect Macarthur and Clintons Toyota got their hands dirty with planting activities at the school, as part of what has become Australia’s largest community tree planting and nature care event.
Not-for-profit environmental foundation, Planet Ark, has again partnered with Toyota and its extensive national dealer network to get both communities and schools across Australia involved in the initiative.
Through Schools Tree Day and National Tree Day, which falls two days after on Sunday 26th July, Planet Ark and Toyota hope to educate the nation on the value and importance in preserving the environment.
Clintons Toyota has been participating in National Tree Day for over ten years planting trees at local schools and community groups across Macarthur. This is the second year that Clintons partnered with Aspect Macarthur which allowed everyone involved to reflect on the hard work and the growth and success from the previous year from participating in the community event.
Since 1996, National Tree Day and Schools Tree Day have been responsible for planting well over 21 million trees, plants and edibles with 3.5 million Australian’s donating their time throughout the years. In 2014 alone, more than 300,000 Australians pitched in across some 3,500 sites with over 1.4 million plants added to local communities.

Over the past two decades, Australians have stood behind the initiative and made a real contribution the health of their local communities and the environment. With the support of Toyota and its dealer network National Tree Day is sure to go from strength to strength and continue to green the grey for many Australians."
